With categories ranging from community engagement to groundbreaking design, these awards capture the diversity and brilliance of our industry.

Please Note - the email address asssociated with the submission as well as anyone who is planning to accept the award must have a ticket to the event. If the entry is submitted by an agency, both the agency and the merchant need a valid ticket.
Application for the Design Pioneer Award
Design Pioneer - 🎨 Unleash Your Creativity and Transform Commerce! 🎨
Introducing the Design Pioneer Award, a celebration of the trailblazers who merge aesthetics with effectiveness to set new standards in the Magento community! This award is dedicated to those who not only follow best practices but also dare to innovate, creating designs that resonate and redefine the e-commerce experience. This award goes to those who envision and execute designs that are not only visually stunning but also functionally transformative. If your Magento/Adobe Commerce site is a beacon of inspiration and innovation in design, we want to honor your visionary work!
Show us how your Magento/Adobe Commerce site design has not just met the market demands but has propelled your business forward by opening new doors of possibility.
Your submission should be between 200 - 500 words. Please format your response to be clear which criteria you are addressing.
General Criteria - All awards are judged on these criteria, in addition to the award-specific criteria listed below.
- Industry contribution and relevance. Building something incredible is amazing. How did it contribute to the ecommerce industry? Identify the ecommerce issue or specific problem/s that was addressed and how it was addressed. Explain the thought process, iteration, and unique ideas.) How is this a new approach? How does this e-commerce work rank within its own vertical? Does it set a new standard for the merchant's peers and the competition? What objective measures or benchmarks demonstrate its impact and position within the industry?
- Return on investment and how successful were these efforts? Explain how success is measured e.g. A/B testing. Support this with numbers, ROIs, KPIs.
- Sustainability. What strategies does this merchant employ to minimize negative environmental impact and/or maximize positive environmental impact? How does it optimize resource usage/efficiency, reduce carbon footprint and maximise use of eco-friendly materials?
- Accessibility. How accessible is this website for visitors with audio/visual/neurodiverse challenges? How does this merchant cater for different types of users, maximizing its potential customer base?
- CX/UX and Convenience. Overall user experience, including ease of navigation, personalization, and customer satisfaction. How does the project improves convenience for users, including features that simplify shopping, enhance accessibility, and streamline processes. Innovations that make interactions more efficient, user-friendly and human.
Award-Specific Criteria
- Impact: How has the design impacted the user and those interacting with it? This will be rated using KPIs and other data points provided in the submission, as to the tangible difference the design work made for the merchant.
- Insight: Determine the extent to which your design incorporates and enhances industry best practices. Evaluate how your design initiatives contribute to defining and advancing these practices within the e-commerce design community.
- Imagination: Evaluate the creativity and innovation that your design brings to the table. Consider how your design evokes emotions, uncovers new possibilities, and pushes the boundaries of traditional e-commerce aesthetics to achieve design excellence.
- Recognition: Design should contribute to brand equity to increase consumer loyalty and trust.How easy is it for visitors to recognize the brand once they have visited the website? How consistent is the design throughout the website?
